RUFUS NAYAK from the Lambadi Community.
“ My name is Rufus Nayak. I was born in an animist family to the Lambada Tribe in Andhra Pradesh. My parents feared evil spirits and worshipped spirit of the ancestors. We believed that the spirits of .Our forefathers were roaming around the region. We worshipped idols also.“ In the year 1995 I had a mental problem and I became almost a lunatic. In the same year some Christian Missionaries came to my village under the leadership of Evangelist John Varghese . After hearing the gospel from them , I was counseled by Pastor Mani Rao and I was gloriously saved.I became perfectly well mentally also.
Immediately after conversion, Dr. C.V accepted me in his College and I studied there and graduated in
1999. God gave me a calling to be a missionary in Dwarakunda in Andhra Pradesh.
My wife and I, along with our two daughters serve in this place from the past 10 years. God has
Blessed the work and we have two local churches with 100 members in the first and 40 members in the second. In the year 2003, God gave me and my wife a very special burden to start one orphan home at our home and Raise these precious children to be God’s Ambassadors to reach the unreached. My spiritual father C.V was a Great inspiration to me. Now in our “Divine Children Home” operated in our home, we have five orphans. We provide all their needs and we send them to one English Medium School. These children have already accepted Christ
And they love the Lord. Until this day (2010) we do not have any sponsors for these orphans. God is faithful.
He provides our needs daily. Challenges are many. Please join us with your prayers and compassion”.
Brother Rufus Nayak has three Congregations. He is desperately in need of more workers to assist him. Please pray to the Lord of Harvests to raise more laborers. Please also pray for the support of Rufus family and other church plant
